We provide town planning advice to clients throughout the planning process, undertaking feasibility assessments on a range of development proposals. Our expertise and understanding of the planning system in practice enables us to provide effective project management from initial concept to approval.

We can advise on whether or not to adopt Passive or Active House principles and how to provide high levels of thermal comfort, low energy consumption and a reduced carbon footprint. We work with your design and building teams to influence performance outcomes; thermal comfort, clean fresh air and reduced energy bills.

Dandelion Seeds Architects consists of a team of architects, construction professionals and expert 3D visualisers. Since our inception in 2020, our team has worked on a wide range of projects throughout the South and South West of England. The bulk of our workload has focussed on the design of: Bespoke one-off houses, barn conversions (class Q), netzero affordable modular housing, luxury apartments and grade 2 listed buildings as well as a community centre, paragraph 80 houses and the Master plan for a wellbeing retreat. We also offer planning consultancy services via Constructionline.

As part of our research and development, we realised there is a shortfall of essential housing in village settings, critical to enable the village infrastructure to thrive. Generally, individuals and families must move away from their existing community networks when either moving to a larger family home or downsizing. Our design provides a solution to a national problem to develop in a highly constrained and challenging open landscape

Our team is working on a wide range of projects throughout the South and South West of England. Appointed to design a bespoke house in the Blackdown AONB
Community Building - A full planning application for internal and external refurbishment, partial demolition, and redevelopment and extension of the existing building.
Appointed to design a nature focused dwelling
Fibonacci - Paragraph 84 House - Passivhaus, Brompton Ralph, Somerset. Planning submission ready and assessed by the Somerset Quality Review Panel
Barn Conversion, Somerset. This large 5 bedroom barn conversion with annex. A single storey dwelling, it includes airtight, yet breathable, high-performance floors, walls and roofs, insulated with recycled glass, sheep's wool and wood fibre.
Grade 2 listed building - Taunton. Planning submitted for the replacement of the rear extension, minor internal alteration work to extend and modernise the ground floor kitchen and the enlargement of the existing ground-floor rear extension
Work completed for transforming this 1980’s bungalow into a modern, contemporary dwelling.
Comedy Store, Somerset. A change of use, refurbishment and restoration project. This project presents itself as an opportunity to restore a former Constitutional Club as a place of renewed cultural significance.
Pre-application support for new dwelling
We have been asked to design several nature focused wellbeing retreats using principles of sacred geometry.

ABOUT US
Phillip Bristow heads up our architectural team and brings 25 years’ experience to the role. He has worked on large-scale, complex residential schemes, Grade II-listed buildings, wellbeing retreats, high-end retail, London schools, developments within areas of outstanding natural beauty (AONB), refurbishments, community buildings and mixed-use masterplanning. He has an impressive track record of delivering inspiring designs, securing planning permission for tricky sites and guiding projects successfully through the construction process.
